about me.
have I always been a rebel?
you'll have to ask my (long-suffering) mum that..... she'd probably say yes.
I've always done things differently, that's for sure.
conform? no thanks.
I'm a live music and events photographer who decided to shoot weddings because I wanted to help like-minded people have the best day, and capture the honest, raw, fun, chaotic and emotional moments that happen in it.
no formal posing, no traditional group shots, no lining up Great Aunty Maud with all the girls and bouquets.
just real and raw. cool wedding photography.
things to know about me....
1: I love music. like LOVE it. like literally live for it.
and have done since my first gig (Iron Maiden, De Montfort Hall, Leicester, 1992 in case you're interested).
so just imagine how giddy I am that I get to shoot live music? dream. come. true.
2: I also adore tattoos. trainers. my chaotic, loud and often ridiculous but lots of fun family of children and step-children, including our pet piggies, Iggy and Travis .
3: also coffee. who can live without coffee?
4: despite being a rebel, after falling in love in my 40's, I totally believe in the power, magic and messiness of all-consuming, soul-deep love.
and what an absolute blast it is to celebrate it.
I ask my partner to marry me every day. watch this space for a yes....
5: I have ADHD, so being still literally pains me. which is quite handy for a wedding photographer who is always on the move. think of a cross between a labrador and Peter Pan.
6: ummmm, I don't actually like weddings - the conventional type anyway. read more about that here
7: I split my time between the city and the country.
when I'm in the city, you'll find me at work, eating good pizza or hunting out a cool gallery.
in the country, I'm chilling with my piggies. or at the beach.
8: I do wedding photography differently. break the rules. re-define the traditions.
